Publishing and versions

Draft and published agent versions, graph versions, publishing an app, and what end users run.

  • Agents have draft and published versions. Editing never changes what end users see until you publish.
  • Workflow graphs are versioned independently: draft → active → archived. The active graph is the published one. Earlier versions can be restored.
  • Apps have their own graph (router → selected agent → output gate → safety check), created as a draft with the app. The strip at the top of the app page shows whether it is published; click Publish app to make it active. End users and the widget are refused with "This app has no published graph" until it is.
  • Apps run only published agent graphs. The builder's test chat may run drafts, which is the way to try changes before publishing. The same strip lists attached agents whose workflow is not published yet.
  • Publishing an agent that an app uses updates the app immediately; the next end-user message runs the new version.
